What is Jet Grouting?

Jet Grouting is a Geo Engineering technique to improve Geo-technical characteristics of soil. The main aspect of Jet Grouting is strengthening of soil and hence improving the load bearing capacity especially of in-situ soil. It is the preliminary and most essential step of any kind of heavy construction job. There are various types of Jet Grouting process like Single Fluid Jet Grouting, Double Fluid Jet Grouting and Triple Fluid Jet Grouting depending upon how many liquids are injected through the horizontal radial nozzle(s) to directly erode and mix with the in-situ soil. Sophisticated Jet Grouting Monitor performs this mechanical operation and it has one, two or three fluid drilling pipes attached at the end of the drilling string to push the elements which are used for Jet Grouting like air, water and grout.

Jet Grouting can also be classified based on applied pressure as low pressure grouting (pressure used up to 20 bars) and high pressure grouting (maximum pressure used up to 400 bars). Low pressure Grouting is used to inject grout into the naturally existing pores and voids of soil and high pressure Grouting is used for cutting the natural soil in order to mix and partially replace it with the grout.

Which type of Jet Grouting will be used, it absolutely depends on soil’s nature like cohesiveness, size of soil particles, constituents of soil, distribution of particles e.t.c. So, it is a matter of soil nature which can be identified by soil testing which is essential for heavy engineering foundations. We at Spar Geo Infra blending new technologies along with traditional methods to get the best output for Jet Grouting and our R&D team is devoted to give a new dimension of Jet Grouting techniques and we are actively engaged in it. We deliver quality grouting service and maintaining it by our vivid experience in this field what we have earned in last couple of years with good reputation.
